The building of the latrines of the forum is a strange one, being (with
the own latrines) the only interruption to the regular drawing of streets
isolating the great monument. It seems to constitute the survival of the
pre-flavian urban cadastre that, for some reason impossible to be determinated,
was not demolition object of demolition. Its coexistence with a public space
as the latrines is very strange, just as part of its equipment is.
The building had a small front portico, where the door for the main group
of three compartments in a row, opened the central compartment had a floor
of opus signinum adapted to the triclinium placement of the rest
of the building was made up by two compartments of very irregular plant,
probably open to the East.
