Baths of the aqueduct

North of the aqueduct there was, perhaps since the 2nd century AD, another thermae surely intended to serve travellers that crossed the city or those that were going to the amphitheatre that was not far away. These thermae destroyed by the Late Empire wall (some remnants next to the wall are known, but a large part remained outside and still have not been excavated), a small grouping was constructed, abutting onto the aqueduct, made up of a cold water pool, a zone for movement parallel to the aqueduct and a group of hot rooms, with four recessed areas heated by the opposite area where the furnace was preserved. This area has more recently been adapted as a theatrical venue. Modern structures do not have any functional relations with the original, with the exception of the stage on the bathrooms, which reconstruct what would have been the true height of the original mortar pavement.
