Insula north of the thermae

The development of the building of the more popular appearance is very interesting. In the situation of the insula north of the thermae, unfortunately much destroyed by the movement of land after the abandonment of the city, this development was especially complicated. Constructed in the middle of the 1st century AD, a few years later this insula was in large part demolished in order to provide space for a square for access to the Large Thermae of the South. During this remodelling a small interior atrium was built that, nevertheless, must not have been a practical solution for the functioning of the house, seeing that throughout its life, the space was the target of remodelling three times, until it became a type of corridor endowed with a higher opening.
